ONE-OFF FERRARI SP38 DEBORAH full throttle at Goodwood FOS

During Goodwood Festival of Speed I have filmed the all new Ferrari SP38 Deborah. FERRARI has unveiled the new SP38, a one-off supercar based on the 488 GTB designed for ?one of Ferrari?s most dedicated customers?. Ferrari has built one of its ?most dedicated customers? an extra special one-off car. The Italian supercar manufacturer has designed and developed the new SP38, the latest offspring from Ferrari?s One-Off programme. It was unveiled at Fiorano during a ceremony before being put through its paces in a series of hot laps around the track. Designed by the Ferrari Design Centre on the chassis and running gear of the 488 GTB, it has been tailored to reflect the client?s deep passion for racing. Ferrari say the car has been optimised for both track and road driving and has ?all the beauty and innovation inherent in Ferrari?s road cars.? Inspiration for the car?s design was the F40, which is most evident in the rear wing and engine cover. The car also comes with an all-new bodywork, in a newly conceived three-layer metallic red. The car?s slim bumper lip harks back to the 308 GTB and air scoop of the 488 GTB, however, it completely concealed on this model. New headlights have also been fitted to give it an overall more aggressive look and the daytime running lights have been relocated to the bumper. Powering the car is the same twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 as the 488 GTB which is likely providing 661bhp and 760 Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the 488 GTB to sprint from 0-62mph in three seconds flat, so it is assumed that the SP38 will at least match that. Join my Notification Squad: click the Bell ?
