This is the 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400S ‘Safety Car’ – The ICE 2025

During The ICE in St. Moritz I filmed this 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400S 'Safety Car'. Chassis #1121314, the second built 1981 Countach LP400S Series III, was produced for Mr. Jean Claude Mimran himself. Jean Claude and his brother, Patrick, were the Swiss entrepreneurs responsible for purchasing Lamborghini in January of 1981. Finished May 15th of 1981 in Bianco on Bleu leather, this example was finished with unique interior appointments specially made for Mr. Mimran. Upon completion, it was immediately shipped off to Monte Carlo to serve as one of the "Intervention" pace cars for the 1981 Monaco Grand Prix. To be easily identifiable as a course car, this unique Countach was fitted with red and blue flashing police lights and graphics on its sides. Iconic photos of the Bianco Countach have smitten automotive and race enthusiasts for years, and later inspired numerous toy models, including a line of Hot Wheels " 'pace car" Countach examples. While Chassis #1121314 was most notably used for the 1981 Monaco Grand Prix, it again made an appearance in 1982. Among the most well-preserved and orginal Countachs, if not the preeminent example itself, the car was retained by Nuova Automobili F. Lamborghini for an extended period following the Monaco Grand Prix events. Hidden away for over 30 years, this piece of Lamborghini history was recently discovered having less than 5,000 miles and in its original paint and interior. After three decades of meticulous storage, in 2019, the car traveled from Belgium to the United States. From 2019-2021 it was recommissioned by Curated of Miami, while completely respecting the car's originality. Join my Notification Squad: click the Bell ?
