The Never Born 1993 Bugatti EB112 Sedan – Walkaround Details – Modena Motor Valley Fest 2023

An unmissable pearl at the 2023 edition of the Motor Valley Fest in Modena was the exhibition of the Bugatti EB112. Thanks to the association founded by former Bugatti employees and enthusiasts of the brand, it was possible to show the car from the Giugiaro collection in Piazza Sant'Agostino. This model is number 1 and the only one released from Campogalliano. There are two other specimens assembled in 2001 and commissioned by Gildo Pallanca Pastor, the French owner of Venturi Automobili, who bought two unfinished models (after the bankruptcy of the Modena company) to make them complete and running. In total, there are therefore three cars. The Bugatti EB112 was presented in 1993, and in the plans of the Modena manufacturer, it was to join the EB110 super sports car with a production of 300 units a year. In this case, the idea was that of a large, comfortable, but high-performance luxury sedan. The design was entrusted to Giorgetto Giugiaro, who winked at the brand's glorious past with stylistic references to cars such as the Type 57 Atlantic and Royale in some bodywork sections. The mechanical part was taken, but weakened, from the sports model of the Modenese manufacturer. Under the bonnet is the naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine capable of developing 455 HP at 6000 rpm and 590 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Despite the weight of 18 quintals, performance was very high, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of over 300 km/h. The traction was of the permanent integral type, and the 6-speed manual gearbox. Unfortunately, a real shame, the alterations that led to the closure of the Campogalliano plant also took away this exciting car. Enjoy! ? Una perla imperdibile all'edizione 2023 della Motor Valley Fest a Modena e' stata l'esposizione della Bugatti EB112. Grazie all'associazione fondata da ex dipendenti Bugatti ed appassionati del marchio e' stato possibile mostrare in Piazza Sant'Agostino la vettura proveniente dalla collezione Giugiaro. Questo modello in realta' e' il numero 1 e possiamo dire unico uscito da Campogalliano. Esistono altri due esemplari assemblati nel 2001 e volute da Gildo Pallanca Pastor, francese, proprietario della Venturi Automobili che acquisto' due modelli non ultimati (dopo il fallimento dell'azienda modenese) per renderli completi e marcianti. In totale esistono dunque tre vetture. La Bugatti EB112 venne presentata nel 1993 e nei piani del costruttore modenese doveva affiancare, con una produzione di 300 unita' l'anno, la supersportiva EB110. In questo caso l'idea era quella di una berlina lussuosa, di grandi dimensioni, comoda ma dalle alte prestazioni. Il design fu affidato a Giorgetto Giugiaro che strizzo' l'occhio, in alcuni tratti della carrozzeria, al glorioso passato del marchio con richiami stilistici a vetture quali la Type 57 Atlantic e Royale. La parte meccanica era prelevata, ma depotenziata, dal modello sportivo del costruttore Modenese. Sotto il cofano si trova posto il propulsore V12, questa volta aspirato, da 6.0-Litri capace di sviluppare 455 Hp a 6000 giri/min e 590 Nm di coppia a 3000 giri/min. Nonostante il peso di 18 quintali, le prestazioni erano molto elevate con un'accelerazione da 0 a 100 Km/h in 4.4 secondi ed oltre 300 km/h di velocita' massima. La trazione era del tipo integrale permanente ed il cambio manuale a 6 marce. Davvero un peccato, le vicissitudini che portarono alla chiusura dello stabilimento di Campogalliano si portarono via anche questa interessante vettura. Buona visione! ? ???????
