Jack Doohan Kush Maini Testing Days with 2022 Alpine A522 F1 Car – Imola, August 27-28, 2024

Australian driver Jack Doohan, who recently signed as the first driver for the Alpine F1 Team for the 2025 season, took to the track at Imola on Tuesday, 27 August, with the 2022 A522 single-seater. In the morning, he completed several track sessions of 8 laps at a time, four slow and four fast, where in addition to training, always practical for a driver, he developed a new software for the Renault power unit. Jack Doohan, son of the motorbike champion Mick (5 consecutive world titles in the 500 class from 1994 to 1998), is currently the third driver for the Enstone team. His racing career so far has seen him become a two-time Asian Formula 3 vice-champion and once in the FIA ??Formula 3 Championship. In 2023, he finished third in the overall Formula 2 standings. The following day, Wednesday, 28 August, was the turn of Kush Maini, a young Indian driver who races in Formula 2 with the Invicta Virtuosi Racing team. The 2022 Alpine A522 single-seater with a carbon fibre monocoque chassis is powered by the Renault E-Tech RE22 engine, a 1.6-litre V6 turbo hybrid mated to an 8-speed + reverse semi-automatic gearbox.
