Your most asked video is finally here!!!! A few days ago I went to Mugello circuit for a Ferrari XX Programme and F1 Clienti test day event and I was finally able to record these great sounding cars with my binaural microphones. The video is about various F1 V8 cars (F2007 - F2008 - F150 Italia - F2013) and a couple of old V10s (F2001 and F2002) in action around the track. I decided to make a "binaural experience" video and not something with static scenes (like WEC Prologue one) because I preferred to bring home more videos from that day recording with my Canon camcorder too. Always sorry if I'm focusing on grass and flowers too often but I have the bad habit of tilting down my head while walking and filming. I solved the problem a bit using some videos I recorded in those exactly moments with my camera. Hope you like this video because it'll be very very hard and challenging for me to make a better one, in terms of audio quality. My favorite parts are from 5:50 to 6:35 and from 22:43 to the end (25:30 :Q____). TURN UP THE VOLUME!! If you want to see the cars in action check just check my channel!! --- What the hell is a 3D/Binaural recording? --- Binaural recordings are reproductions of sound the way human ears hear it. Traditionally, recordings have been made using mono or stereo. Mono uses a single microphone while stereo uses two, spaced apart from each other. Binaural recording takes the stereo method one step further by placing two microphones approximately at the same average distance that exists between one and the other human ear. To recreate the best effect you must put the microphones in your ears or by using a "dummy head" (wherein a mannequin head is outfitted with a microphone in each ear) because having a real head or a head shape that separates the two microphones is what makes the magic works. In fact if a car passes on your left side the sound will take a few extra microseconds to reach the right ear and it will also be louder in one ear (left) than the other.
