EICMA 2022 Milano – NEW 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R – 240Hp at 16.500 rpm! – Walkaround Details

Ducati is back at Eicma 2022 with many new models, and the queen of these is the lovely Panigale V4 R with numbers that leave you speechless. The 998cc engine can develop 240Hp at 16,500 rpm thanks to some solutions taken directly from experience on the track in Superbike and MotoGP. The racing exhaust system and the study of a new high-performance engine oil made in collaboration with Shell guarantees a 10% reduction in mechanical friction and an increase in power of 4Hp. This oil uses specific racing additives for dry clutches, such as in racing engines, to be added to the base oil. There would be a lot to write about this latest evolution of the Panigale. It adopts new intake camshafts with valve lift greater than 1 mm, new variable-length bells shortened by 5 mm in the short configuration, and the pistons have a skirt characterized by the DLC surface treatment to reduce friction between the piston and liner. And again, gun drilled connecting rods to improve piston pin lubrication, piston geometry that makes them 5 grams lighter by reducing inertia forces and a new lighter clutch of about 800 grams that reduces the torque inertia and makes the engine more responsive. The motorbike, in running order, weighs 193.5 kg, which drops to 188.5 kg with the complete racing exhaust. In the suspension, we find the 43mm Ohlins Npx25/30 front fork with 5mm extra travel and an Ohlins Ttx36 shock absorber adjusted to increase the rear height by 20mm, equipped with a hydraulic preload adjuster. The Brembo braking system with Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers, 330mm semi-floating discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear. Enjoy! ? La Ducati e' tornata ad Eicma 2022 con molte novita' e la regina di queste e' la splendida Panigale V4 R con dei numeri che lasciano a bocca aperta. Il propulsore da 998cc e' capace di sviluppare 240Hp a 16.500 giri/min grazie ad alcune soluzione prelevate direttamente dall'esperienza in pista nella Superbike e nella MotoGP. L'impianto di scarico racing e lo studio di un nuovo olio motore prestazionale realizzato in collaborazione con Shell garantisce una riduzione degli attriti meccanici del 10% ed un aumento di potenza di 4Hp. Questo olio sfrutta additivi specifici di tipo racing per frizioni a secco, come nei motori da competizione, da aggiungere all?olio di base. Ci sarebbe da scrimere molto su quest'ultima evoluzione della Panigale. Adotta nuovi alberi a camme di aspirazione con alzata delle valvole maggiore di 1 mm, nuovi cornetti a lunghezza variabile accorciati di 5 mm nella configurazione corta ed i pistoni hanno un mantello caratterizzato dal trattamento superficiale DLC per ridurre gli attriti tra pistone e camicia. Ed ancora, bielle perforate di tipo ?gun drilled? per migliorare la lubrificazione dello spinotto, geometria dei pistoni che li rende piu' leggeri di 5 grammi riducendo le forze d?inerzia ed una nuova frizione piu? leggera di circa 800 grammi che riduce il momento d?inerzia rendendo il motore piu? reattivo. La moto in ordine di marcia pesa 193,5 kg, valore che scende a 188,5 kg con lo scarico racing completo. Nelle sospensioni troviamo la forcella anteriore Ohlins Npx25/30 da 43mm con 5mm di corsa in piu' e un ammortizzatore Ohlins Ttx36 regolato per aumentare di 20mm l?altezza del posteriore, dotato di registro idraulico per il precarico. Impianto frenante Brembo con pinze monoblocco Brembo Stylema, dischi semiflottanti da 330mm alll?anteriore e un disco da 245mm al posteriore. Buona visione! ? ???????
