Back in Black! – BMW M4 GT3 by Ceccato Racing Testing at Misano Monza Circuit – 590Hp Turbo Engine

In 2023, I had the pleasure of filming the BMW M4 GT3 of Team Ceccato Racing without livery and sponsor on several occasions. We find ourselves during the test days organized by Kateyama on the Misano and Monza circuits; I must say that all black is very aggressive. This racing car model debuted in the world of GT3 in June 2021 and was developed based on the BMW M4 G82 road model. It, therefore, keeps the same engine; it is the P58 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line equipped with a double turbo capable of developing 590hp. The six-speed Xtrac gearbox with electro-hydraulic clutch takes care of moving it. The Ceccato Racing Team has achieved splendid results since using it. Among these, we mention the second place in the AM category (fourth overall) at the 12h of Monza in 2023, the title of champions in the PRO-AM category of the 2023 Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship, and the same year they were the winners of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship with drivers Bruno Spengler and Jens Klingmann. Nel 2023 ho avuto il piace di filmare in un paio di occasioni la BMW M4 GT3 del Team Ceccato Racing priva di livrea e sponsor. Ci troviamo durante le giornate di test organizzate da Kateyama sui circuiti di Misano e Monza; devo dire che tutta nera e' davvero molto aggressiva. Questo modello di vettura da corsa ha debuttato nel mondo delle GT3 nel mese di Giugno 2021, ed e' stata sviluppata sulla base del modello stradale BMW M4 G82. Mantiene quindi lo stesso motore, si tratta del P58 da 3.0-litri sei cilindri in linea dotato di doppio turbo capace di sviluppare 590hp. A muoverlo ci pensa il cambio Xtrac a sei rapporti con frizione elettroidraulica. Il Team Ceccato Racing da quando la utilizza ha ottenuto splendidi risultati. Tra questi citiamo il secondo posto nella categoria AM (quarto assoluto) alla 12h di Monza nel 2023, il titolo di campioni nella categoria PRO-AM del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Endurance 2023 e sempre nello stesso anno sono risultati i vincitori del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Sprint con i piloti Bruno Spengler e Jens Klingmann.
