Audi Sport Quattro S1 VS Lancia Delta S4 – Group B Monsters! – Rally Legend San Marino 2022 Memories

I decided to compare two sacred monsters of Group B rally cars, Audi Sport Quattro S1 VS Lancia Delta S4. We are with memories of the recent edition of the San Marino Rally Legend 2022. I also wanted to use the split-screen mode, as you know nothing scientific and time metrics but just the pleasure of seeing the cars "side by side", observing different trajectories and cornering. Here are a few brief historical references to cars in general. The Audi S1 ??was introduced to racing at the end of the 1985 season as a further evolution of the Audi Sport Quattro. In the last cars that ran in the 1986 season, the in-line 5-cylinder turbo engine could develop 441 kW or 600 Hp. Weighing just 1,090 kg, acceleration was terrific, from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Even the prestigious Italian manufacturer, solid in rallies, made its outstanding debut, the Delta S4, again in 1985. The S4 unique in its kind, The S4 was unique, with a combined turbocharging (KKK) and supercharging Volumex (Abarth patented) system, allowing the car to push with force already at 1.500 rpm. In its latest 1986 evolution, the power was impressive, 650Hp and boost pressure of 2.5 bar. This video wants to thank the Italian and Polish crews who brought them to the race. Ho deciso di mettere a confronto due mostri sacri delle vetture da rally Gruppo B, Audi Sport Quattro S1 VS Lancia Delta S4. Siamo con i ricordi alla recente edizione del Rally Legend 2022 di San Marino. Ho voluto utilizzare anche la modalita' split-screen, come sapete niente di scientifico e cronometrico ma solamente il piacere di vedere "fianco a fianco" le vetture, osservando differenti traiettorie ed inserimenti di curva. Qualche breve accenno storico sulle auto in generale. L'Audi S1 fu introdotta nelle gare alla fine della stagione 1985 come ulteriore evoluzione dell'Audi Sport Quattro. Nelle ultime vetture che corsero l'annata 1986 il motore turbo 5 cilindri in linea era capace di sviluppare 441 KW, ovvero 600 Hp. Con un peso di soli 1.090 Kg, l'accelerazione era strepitosa, da 0-100 Km/h in 3,1 secondi. Anche la prestigiosa casa italiana, fortissima nei rally, fece debuttare l'arma definitiva, la Delta S4, sempre nel 1985. L'S4, unica nel suo genere e' dotata di doppia sovralimentazione, compressore KKK e volumetrico Volumex (brevettato Abarth), quest'ultimo permette alla vettura di spingere con vigore gia' a 1.500 giri. Nella sua ultima evoluzione del 1986 la potenza era impressionante, 650Hp ed una pressione di sovralimentazione di ben 2,5 bar.
