Lanzante’s Road-Legal Porsche 935 at the Goodwood Hill Climb!

During the Goodwood Festival of Speed I filmed this Porsche 935 which has been converted to road-legal by Lanzante. Ever looked at the Porsche 935 and thought it?d be a suitable way of travelling along the M11? Two owners seemingly thought so, and approached Lanzante - purveyors of the drift-happy McLaren P1 - to request just such a road-legal conversion. 18 months (and much thumb-twiddling) later, their wishes have come true. Lanzante started by fine-tuning the original race-spec suspension to deal with potholes, throwing less-squeaky brakes on and pairing them with an actual handbrake. The electronic system has seen a major overhaul too. Needle-eyed readers will also spot the additional headlights incorporated to sit flush alongside the large bonnet vents, while the wheels (and corresponding covers) have also been updated. Final exterior changes are the refreshed paint schemes: one?s been finished in the iconic red/white Marlboro chevron theme, while the other has gone full retro Martini. No other changes have been mentioned. So, mechanically, these 935s still use a water-cooled 3.8-litre flat-six to send around 700bhp to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK. Most of the other nuts and bolts have been taken straight from the 991-generation GT2 RS too, just as they were in the original second-generation cars. Join my Notification Squad: click the Bell ?
