I was pleased to film the 2014 Lotus Enso CLM P1/01 LMP1-L, masterfully driven by French driver and champion Christophe Bouchut. We are at the Mugello circuit during the Masters Endurance Legends race, and the car that in 2014 raced with the ByKolles Racing team in the WEC championship, LMP1-L class, achieved pole position, fastest lap in the race, victory in race one and second place in race two here in Italy. All this with the driver who raced it at the time. Let us remember that in his career, Bouchut obtained 105 victories, 85 pole positions, four overall victories in 24-hour races (1993 Le Mans, 1995 Daytona, 2001 and 2002 Spa), three FIA ??GT titles (2000-2002) and the 2011 American Le Mans Series LMP2 championship. The ENSO CLM P1/01 remains the only private car to participate in the FIA ??WEC, together with the four hybrid LMP1 Porsche and Toyota. Now, it uses a Gibson GL458 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine driven by a 7-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. The monocoque is carbon fibre, the suspension has independent double wishbones with adjustable shock absorbers, and the brake discs are carbon-ceramic. The car weighs about 850 kg, and with that crackling sound from the exhaust when released, it is simply magnificent. Ci troviamo al circuito del Mugello durante la gara del Masters Endurance Legends e la vettura che nel 2014 ha corso con il team ByKolles Racing nel campionato WEC, classe LMP1-L ha ottenuto la pole, il giro piu' veloce in gara, la vittoria in gara 1 e il secondo posto in gara due qui in Italia. Tutto questo proprio con il pilota che all'epoca ci correva. Attualmente utilizza un motore Gibson GL458 da 4.5-Litri V8 aspirato mosso da un cambio sequenziale Xtrac a 7 rapporti. La monoscocca e' in fibra di carbonio, le sospensioni sono a doppi bracci trasversali indipendenti con ammortizzatori regolabili ed i dischi freni sono carbo-ceramici. L'auto pesa circa 850 Kg e con quel suono crepitio allo scarico in rilascio e' semplicemente magnifica.
