This 1969 Lancia Fulvia was sold new as a competition rally car in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. It logged 10 rally entries between 1969 and 1976, with 3 podium finishes. It was also the featured poster car for the 2005 Classica Canaria Rally. This version of the Fulvia came with an odd 1600 CC V4 engine producing 115 hp at 6,500 rpm. It came with a close-ratio 5-speed transmission and wheel arch extensions. During the production of this video, the Fulvia experienced a fuel cavitation issue, the result of idling and filming flyby shots in very hot weather and humidity, which eventually ended the video. Once the car cooled down after approximately 1 hour, it was fine. Special thanks to the John J Campion Collection, which provided transportation and lodging for the production of these videos.
