1580HP Porsche 917/30 TWIN-TURBO Flat-12 Can-Am Monster

During the Goodwood Festival of Speed I was able to see one of the fiercest and most terrifying race cars ever built: the 1973 Porsche 917/30. The car was built in order to race in the Can Am championship where, thanks to the very permissible FIA Group 7 rules and homologations, lightweight and powerful monsters battled for victory. The 917/30 was powered by a 5.4-litre twin-turbocharged Flat-12 engine that was able to produce around 1100hp in race trim and an estimated power of 1500hp in qualifying trim with a greater boost. This 917 weighed only 849Kg. Join my Notification Squad: click the Bell ?
